$475,000

Rarely available - a vacant lot of just over two acres in Hawi's desirable Maliu Ridge subdivision. The lot is fully fenced and sellers recently cleared a driveway to the high point that was their intended building site to make it easy for a new owner to imagine the day when their home will enjoy ocean, sunset, and Maui views! The rest of the lot has mature trees for privacy - or they could be cleared to open the lot for pasture, gardens, or fruit orchards. The lot's zoning is agricultural. Some neighbors keep horses and sheep. An elevation around 1500' above sea level, deep soil, and just enough rainfall, make it easy to keep lawns and gardens thriving. Maliu Ridge has CC&Rs but no association or dues. Utilities are underground. Residents walk the quiet streets with their neighbors and dogs, waving to passing cars. The towns of Hawi and Kapaau with services, shops, and restaurants are a short drive down the hill; the beaches of the Kohala Coast resorts and the larger town of Waimea/Kamuela are 30 minutes away. Kohala is rich in history and culture. Enjoy a sophisticated yet sustainable rural lifestyle from your future home in North Kohala.
